House Rules
We want your stay to be pleasant
We’ve set out these house rules so that every guest visiting our property has a comfortable, safe, secure, and most importantly, fun stay at our home. We hope you have a great time and find everything you need, for creating those beautiful family memories that will last a lifetime.
Compliance with these rules is essential for every member of your traveling party.

THE RULES
Robert and Malu welcome you to Baloos Mountain Cabin, Your Home Away from Home.
NO SMOKING of any kind is permitted inside the home. – Extra cleaning fees will be applied
Our home is a smoke-free environment. This is important to us in order to keep our property in the best condition possible. For your convenience, we have provided a table with chairs and an ashtray under the covered porch. Please do not move this table, and do not have windows or doors opened if you are smoking outside.
- Do not throw cigarette butts on the property.
- Empty ashtray in trash before checking out.
- Wipe down table and chairs before checking out
NO PETS are allowed
SPEED LIMIT is less than 10 miles/hr.
- Do not speed on the driveway, as we share it with our neighbors.
PARKING – You may park up by front entrance or below. Plenty of parking for 3 large vehicles.
- Do not park on the grass or under the porch.
NO PARTIES OR EVENTS/NO ILLEGAL ACTIVITY
- The property shall not be used by more than the number of adults and children listed in your reservation
QUIET HOURS are from 11:00 pm – 7:00 am
Be mindful of our neighbors and keep noise to a minimum during nighttime hours and bring the party inside, by 11 pm
CHILDREN SAFTEY. Do not leave your children unsupervised on our property or on the porch.
- NO Jumping on the beds or furniture.
- Keep the children away from the gas fire pit, glass pebbles are not toys.
- Indoor rockers are to be kept away from wall.
Game Room
- Card and Board games are stocked in the game room for your enjoyment. Please return all game pieces to its original box when you are done. There’s nothing more frustrating than when you want to play a game and find the game pieces are missing or dirty. Books are for your reading pleasure, please return them before you leave.
ADDITIONAL RULES
- Guests must be at least 25 years of age to book.
- Security Deposit – you are liable for any damage to property and you agree to accept charges to the card on file should damage occur during occupancy up to $500.
- Home is on a septic system. Please do not pour grease down the drain and do not flush any feminine/hygiene products.
- If using Gas Fire Pit, make sure propane tank is turned off when finished.
Kitchen and Appliances
Our home is our well-equipped with everything you need including all the small appliances you might need to prepare anything from tasty breakfast, quick trail snacks to full-course dinners. We ask that you and the other members of your party adhere to the few rules we have outline below to keep it in great working condition for other guests.
• Clean all small appliances after use, before storing.
• Use outside dishes and plastic glasses provided when dining outside.
• Do not store away dirty dishes/pots & pans, etc.
Barbecue Grill
We provide all the necessary equipment needed for grilling, be sure to follow the instructions below.
- Please use the designated barbecue utensils, located in bottom drawer next to the stove.
- A washable grill mat has been provided for your use, just make sure you clean it afterwards.
- Be sure to clean the grill after each use, it’s much more difficult to clean the next day!
- Make sure you turn off Propane tank.
Porch
The porch area is for you to enjoy, kick back and relax. To keep this space in the best condition for future guests, please follow the guidelines as listed below.
For lunches or dinner on the porch, we have provided plastic ware for outdoor use.
• Read Gas Fire Pit instructions before use
• Turn off Propane tank on fire pit when finished.
• Do not cook any types of food over the gas fire pit, including marshmallows.
Trash
Trash Bins are outside under the deck.
All trash is to be bagged before placing in Trash Bins – You do not want Baloo to visit while you are visiting.
• Refrain from throwing any trash, such as bottle caps, bottles, or cigarette butts on property grounds or neighbor’s property.
• There is no trash pickup in the area. Be considerate and make sure all trash is bagged for cleaner to take to Recycling Center, otherwise we will have to ask guests to remove trash upon departure.
